These pictures were taken at the fountain Creek Nature Center, near Fountian, Colorado on 28 September 2011. These creatures are capable of motion, similar to an amoeba. Typically, they are one cell, with multiple nucleus.

Not identified yet for sure. The web site www.colostate.edu/Depts/CoopExt/4DMG/Pests/slime.htm shows a slime mold that looks like this one.
