Red-tail hawks. The first picture was taken on 13 January, 2010
at the Fountain Creek Nature Center.
The second picture was taken on 12 March 2010, same place.
Another one, picture taken on 6 May 2010 at the Fountain Creek Nature Center, Fountain CO.
This is a New York Red-tail hawk, not from Colorado. I include it here
to show more detail about the markings. This one is a male, sitting on a nest on the
campus of Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. This male is taking a turn sitting on their 3 egga.
Red-tails mate for life, and the males takes turns sitting on the eggs, and also brings meals to
the female when she sits on the eggs.
